Rebuilding guidelines

In the table found on this page, you find which model is used to created a DAF, that can (or could) not to be bought somewhere at the time I needed it (or the quality of the available model was not good ebough for me).  I try to mention the points that has to be altered to created the DAF. (not complete)

Wiking MB 814(ecoliner) Fill the sides of the cab, make them smooth and in the right shape.
At the back, glue a piece of 1mm thick plate, create windows.
Replace the grill by a printed one with the 3 'stripes'
Make the bumper smooth.
45 (2nd serie)

short cab
Wiking MB 814(ecoliner) Fill the sides of the cab, make them smooth and in the right shape.
At the back, glue a piece of 1mm thick plate, create windows.
Fill the grill with a piece of plastic sheet and glue a printed piece with 1 'stripe' on it
Make the bumper smooth.
55 short cab Herpa MAN L2000  
LF 55 (16-18t) short cab Albedo Renault Premium Remove the SpaceCab construction. Cut the remaining part in 2 over the front and rear side. Make it smaller (total 24,2mm) Cut the side of the cab 3mm behind the door. Cut the back of the cab loose of the remains of the side. Make angles of 45 degrees, so the back of the cab fits to the sides of it. The roof can be made out of a plastic sheet in combination with a part of the removed SpaceCab. At the front, a new grill is made of a sheet in the right shape. At the front-corners of the cab, wind-deflectors were placed (made of half-circular profile, cut in right shape). The bumper needs a lot of modification, but can be used.
75 stretched cab Wiking Iveco Eurofire At the frontcorners of the cabine make the direction indicators by milling, filing and cutting. Replace the grill by a printed one with 2 stripes. On the sides of the cab add the wings. Some variant are possible:
-wing continues till the end of the cab
-wing decreaces after the frontdoor of the cabine
-wing keeps its original length after the front door (about 4mm) and then stops
The wing is 1mm thick and above the mudguard it is 3,7 mm high + 1mm of the sloping part. The wing runs slightly up over the door and the thickness increases over the door from 0 till 1mm.
