DAF chassistypes:
DAF uses a system for axleconfigurations of the trucks they produce from about 1970 (first generation of tilt-cabs).
This method exists of a 2 or 3 character-code:
-1st character: F for frontsteer or N for normalsteer,
-2nd character: A for truck, T for tracktor, M for concreteMixer, F for Firetrucks
-eventually 3th character: shows the axleconfiguration.
Remark: mot alle mentiond configurations were available for all series. In case of the military vehicles the 3th character was choosen together with the Dutch Ministry of Defence.
